Holy Spirit Nuggets
Author: Zari Banks, M.Ed

We have a nice core group attending the conference so far. But we'd like more to come. We're
looking for those tough cases who haven't had sustained success with all
the renunciations, prayers, anointings, etc. that were meant to turn
their lives around but didn't stick. Please release verbal agreement
that God's light will shine on the conference and that His will be done
on earth as it is in heaven right now regarding it. Thx.
DISCLAIMER:
This will be a characteristically Zari length post. Get comfortable and
settle in ... or just come back later if you can't read it all now. OR
read some, chew on it, talk it over with Ruach and then come back for
another bite. Either way works. ?? It's gonna be long because I've been
spending time with The Lord and He is ... too much.
HOLY SPIRIT
NUGGETS: These are excellent for you; they may step on your toes a
little, though. As opposed to McDonald's nuggets which are not as good
for you in the long run.
#1. I posted this one on my FB page so you may have already read it. You don't get a gold star in heaven
for attending church service EVERY week. If you think church attendance
is storing up treasures in heaven, you're wrong. Flat out wrong. Church
attendance doesn't provide legitimacy or make you acceptable to God.
In
The Bible Yeshua, nor the apostles and disciples he sent out, attended
service every week. They went sometimes, but other times they were out
serving and releasing The Kingdom into people's lives. Isn't that
interesting? Did you ever stop to consider that fact? Do you ever ask
yourself why you're sitting there week after week, year after year, when
Jesus and everyone who's anyone in The Christianity Hall of Fame was
always on the move?
You do know that churches are the way they
are - which aren't Biblical models - because Constantine wanted to
stifle the power of The New Testament Church? And churches are still
powerless for the most part. Fewer and fewer churches have taken their
cities for The Kingdom these days. But they're often full.
What
if every believer asked God what He wanted of them, ignored personal
comfort, the fear of man and the need to be seen holding a seat each
week, and did what God said? The funny thing is, nine out of 10 people
reading this will say they asked God and He told them to stay right
where they are. I'm gonna go out on limb and say that's a lie from the
enemy.
It is written: He said to His disciples, "The harvest is great, but the workers are few." ~ Matthew 9:37
It is written: "Many are invited, but few are chosen." ~ Matthew 22:14
Personally,
I have no faith in any church that just expects and prepares for you to
get there every Sunday. I have faith in churches that regularly
announce there are no services for a couple weeks, and you should spend
time with your family and with God and go find some ministry to
participate in that matches the spiritual DNA God placed in you. Can you
imagine what the world would be like if every church had a Kingdom
mindset instead of a 'we pack 'em in like sardines and then raise money
for a bigger tin' one?
#2. Praying in tongues
takes your spirit immediately into another realm in the spirit. Your
mind may go with, it may not; but your spirit goes and has various
things happen. Sometimes it gets healed. It gets deposits. Sometimes it
has an audience with one or all of The Godhead. It gets nurtured in some
way, shape or form that aligns with God's will for your life.
I'm
on track to have 150 hours praying in tongues at the end of this
3-month period that I'm in. Do I get a gold star in heaven for that?
Nope. But one huge thing I have is peace and peace is priceless. I
remember telling Patti within the last year or so that I just needed
something to work out for me because it seemed like everything in my
life took a battle. Normal things that other people just walked into
every day - jobs, families, kids, careers, you name it - just worked for
them but I had to fight for anything I wanted and it was stressful.
I
don't have that constant stress about anything anymore. Nothing in my
natural circumstances has changed, but I have dominion and authority in
the realm that supersedes the natural one, and it's just ... awesome.
Now that I'm trying to explain it, I realize I don't have adequate
words. All I know is I fall asleep sometimes at night thanking Jesus
over and over again because of this peace zone I'm in. And the next
thing I know I'm praying in tongues the whole night. I can hear it, I'm
still dreaming, but my spirit picks up on the thanksgiving and takes me
into another realm.
Will things be this smooth for the rest of my
days on earth? I seriously doubt it. But it's good to be cool as a fan
when I haven't been that way since - ever.
Here's one more
attempt to explain this amazing peace. A business owner contacted me for
help recently about increasing their income because they'd fallen
behind. I gave some wisdom, a WOK and set them on their way. I checked
back later and asked how things were going. They initially said nothing
improved but that they paid three major bills. I said: WAIT! THAT'S
HUGE! They they were expecting God to perform some grandiose action but
instead He supplied their every need the regular way.
That's how
my life is these days. I don't have any big testimony of God doing
anything that would make heads turn, but I have daily blessings, battles
won and consistent provision without expending any extra energy all
while growing in the knowledge of God all the time. I guess I can say
I've learned to war smarter finally and not so hard (in some areas). I
hope that makes some sense. I really can't explain it much better than
to say I went from constant stress to stress free anticipation of what's
next. And what's next can be good or a challenge but I know it'll work
for my great somehow, some way, sooner or later.
#3. Your
spirit has unlimited capacity to hold revelation, understanding and
wisdom. It's not unlimited like God is unlimited, but it can expand
beyond anything we can think of or imagine. An easy example is always
your night dreams and visions. We don't remember, can't recall, most of
our dreams because we dream so much; not to mention all the details of
each dream. But our spirits get a recording of our dreams and as we
mature our spirits and learn to cooperate with them, we can tap into its
resources and pull those dreams out if necessary.
Sometimes I
get pains because I'm a runner. I've learned to speak to my spirit, and
have it connect with Holy Spirit to pinpoint the healing ability God
encoded there to stop an area from hurting. I've felt a sore throat
coming on and done the same. My face was breaking out because I was out
of my regular products for too long, and I began to speak to my spirit
to have it control the breakouts and begin to heal my skin. God encoded
our spirits with healing information to work in tandem with our bodies.
If you have big sickness in your family line, you're gonna want to get
with The Lord and do some spirit work.
These are just a few of
the things from the conversations I've had with Holy Spirit over the
last couple days. Some of the stuff He shared wasn't wimpy-believer
friendly. He's feisty sometimes. I actually described one thing He said
as ripping the low-discerning crowd a new one. And by new one I mean
paradigm. ?? I'm beginning to appreciate the uncomfortable statements He
makes because it means we're having an intimate moment and He's sharing
His Truth that He shares with friends. You know how Jesus did with the
12; He explained His parables to them because they were His friends.
Alright,
I'm gonna stop now because the birds are chirping and awake and I need
to go sleep. I was excited about the divine encounters I had this week
so I wanted to share. Oh, yeah! I had two days with angels, too - the
17th and 18th. That was cool.
